Brother HL 2140

For a small office or a home office, the Brother HL–2140 provides the best utility, reliability and economy for the price. It’s an ergonomically designed unit that won’t take up too much space on a desk seems designed to offer simple, logical printing solutions. An added bonus is that the Brother HL 2140 is environmentally friendly, being Energy Star compliant.

This laser printer prints up to 23 pages per minute and in order to provide extended toner life, it offers a toner-save mode, which is also good for the environment, and on the pocket. Its paper tray has the capacity for 250 sheets which is plenty enough for both home and office usage as is its built-in 8MB of memory.

Its paper tray can carry the main paper sizes such as letters, legal size, A4, A5, A6, B5 and B6. The paper tray is so strong that it can carry up to 28 pounds! As well as a very capable tray, there’s also a multi-purpose tray which is able to carry a further 43 pounds.

The Energy Star rating means the power requirements are only 120 V AC which means a lot of energy is saved during and between being used. Even if you’re not into saving the environment, saving energy bills is always a good idea.

It is also a light weight machine, coming in at only 15 pounds. That and its relatively compact size makes it a good deal for smaller or home offices. It’s almost silent too, giving off only 30dB on standby and as little as 51dB when in use. Despite this, the unit is still fully featured and can do everything you need it to do.

The Brother HL-2140 produces printouts of a decent standard, with 2400x600 dpi resolution offering the best printing results for even the most demanding offices. Because of the toner save mode, cartridges and toners don’t need to be replaced very often, and when they do they are very affordable.

All in all the Hl-2140 is a very economical machine whether for an office or home usage. With versatility and professional level output, this printer is a must-have for any astute home user, or small office wanting the decent standards that this printer can offer.
